The Love Sacks
The Love Sacks – The People’s Champions of the 2nd Annual Thanksgimme Classic
Flying under the radar heading into the 2nd Annual Thanksgimme Classic, The Love Sacks, made up of Riley Kinnane, John Rego, Brendan Kinnane, and helmed by their steady-handed captain, Mike Kinnane, weren’t the flashy pick to win it all. Most of the hype centered around dethroning the reviled defending champions, The Fuck Sacks, but while the league was busy plotting their downfall, The Love Sacks were quietly putting together a championship run of their own.
Momentum shifted when Riley Kinnane secured a clutch solo eagle, thrusting them into contention. But it was Brendan Kinnane who cemented their legacy. Standing over a pressure putt on the 18th hole, with the peanut gallery chanting his girlfriend’s name, Brendan delivered ice in his veins. He drained the putt, flipped off the crowd, and then, in a moment of unhinged celebration, slightly violated Sean Kinnane.
Finishing at an impressive 9 under par, The Love Sacks outshined the drama, silenced the doubters, and claimed their place in history as the 2nd Annual Thanksgimme Classic Champions. In a moment of poetic sportsmanship, Brendan’s longtime rival, Matt DeLeo, ceremonially handed over the Gimme Cup. The Love Sacks wasted no time, filling it with Guinness, Miller Lite, and maybe just a little pink eye.
